Day OneKampala to Murchison Falls National ParkOur driver shall pick you up for the trip at 7.00am. You shall be picked from wherever you deem convenient. We shall drive through the historical Luwero Triangle (you shall be briefed on the events that make a big park of our history), Nakasongola, to Masindi town. We shall make a stopover at Masindi town or drive to Red Chilli's Hideaway for the lunch. We shall then drive to Murchison Falls National Park to start our adventures. We shall start with a hike to the top of the Murchison Falls. You shall get to appreciate these magnificent waterfalls, arguably the strongest in the world. In a massive explosion of force, the whole of the Nile squeezes through a teeny chasm, causing a violent tempest below. It is really gorgeous. From the top of the Murchison Falls visit we shall go for a boat cruise on the mighty Nile. This is probably the main highlight of a Murchison Falls National Park safari. A relaxing cruise of about three hours, you will view hundreds of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, waterbucks, bufallos, birds such as heroines, kingfisher and the rare shoebill and lots of other typical Ugandan wildlife immersed in a spectacular savanna landscape. Most game come here from the surrounding savanna to drink and search for fresh grass. After the 3 hour boat cruise we shall have a quick game drive and probaly view more game like warthogs, heartbeasts, kobs, buffalos, lions and baboons among others. After completing our first day's adventure we shall check in at Global Village Guest House or any other accommodation of your choice for our dinner and overnight. Day TwoGame Drive in Murchison Falls National ParkWe shall wake up as early as possible for our breakfast after which we shall have a full game drive. It is advisable to start the game drive this early for the animals are still lazy and sleepy making them less shy hence easier to come by. The hunters like the lions and leopards have not yet gone hunting. We shall explore the major game trails in the wildlife rich northern part of the park especially in Paraa. Our game list will definitely increase during this game drive. The end of this game drive at about 11.00am shall mark the end of our adventures in the Murchison Falls National Park. We shall report back to the safari lodge to relax and reflect on safari activities in the park as we savor the beautiful sceneries around the park from the comfort of the safari lodge. We shall have dinner and overnight at the lodge. Day ThreeMurchison Falls National Park to KampalaWe shall have early morning breakfast and drive back to Kampala. |
