Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your driver shall transfer you to your already booked Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Rhino Tracking at Ziwa, Top of the Falls

After breakfast you depart for Uganda’s largest national park, Murchison Falls National Park. Travel along the Luwero Triangle, whose historical significancy shall be narated to you by your guide. You could also make a brief stopover to pick a couple of fruits say pineapples, oranges and Jackfruit. Proceed through Nakasongola and get to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. The Sanctuary breeds tens of rhinos and is the only place in Uganda with Rhinos roaming in their natural habitat. Set off into the Sanctuary to find these lovely animals. The Sanctuary protects a number of wildlife such as oribis, hippos, leopards, crocodiles, birds, and lots of trees, shrubs, and swamps. After a successful Rhino tracking continue the drive and get to Masindi town for your lunch. Thereafter drive for 25 minutes and get to Murchison Falls National Park. Drive into the park and get to the famous Murchison Falls, the world’s strongest waterfall. You get to see the entire Nile squeeze through a tiny cleft, 7 meters wide to explode into the violent waterfalls, then proceeding its 3 months journey to the Miditerranean Sea. The falls is one of the best sights in the park, nowander the park gets its name from them. After the falls experience, continue and get to your lodge. Check in for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Early game drive, Launch Cruise along the Nile

After your early breakfast set off for a game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. An early start by 6.30am is vital to catch the nocturnal such as lions, leopards, jackals, mongoose, and grazing hippos. Explore the major game tracks and expect to see herds of buffalos, Uganda kobs and Waterbucks, Jackson’s Hartebeests, Oribis, Bushbucks, warthogs, Baboons, Elephants, Birds and a scenic landscape. After 4 hours of a wonderful wildlife experience, return to your lodge to relax, and have lunch. Later set off for an afternoon Launch Cruise on River Nile to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. The banks of the Nile are populated with a diversity of wildlife. Expect to see lots of hippos, crocodiles, warthogs, elephants, waterbucks, birds such as cattle egrets, skimmers, red-throated bee eater, African fish eagles and lots more. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, check out and set off for Kibale National Park. Travel along the Albetine Escarpment with panoramic vews of the western Rift Valley. You shall have lunch in Hoima town, thereafter proceed via Fort Portal and get to Kibale National Park. Check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Kibale National Park – Chimpanzee Tracking, Nature Walk

After your early breakfast, transfer to the ranger station and set out to track habituated chimpanzees in Kibale Forest. Kibale National Park is popular for hosting Africa’s highest primate density. The park is incredibly diverse, hosting 70 mammal species the most notable being 13 primates such as red Colobus, grey-cheeked Mangabey, olive baboons, bush baby, potto, black-and-white Colobus, red-tailed and blue Monkeys. There are a number of ground mammals such as forest elephants, buffalos, bush pigs, duikers, warthogs, lions, hippos, serval, sitatungas, mongoose, and swamp otter among others Birdlife is immense, with more than 375 recorded species. After an exciting forest experience and successful chimp tracking, return to the lodge for lunch. Later set out for a nature walk to observe a range of wildlife at close encounter. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Boat Ride along the Kazinga Channel

After breakfast set off to Queen Elizabeth NP, Uganda’s most popular national park. Get to the park amidst panoramic views of grassy rolling hills and scenic crater lakes. Get to your lodge, relax and have lunch. Later set out for the thrilling boat ride along the Kazinga Channel. The Kazinga Channel is a 40km mass of water joining lakes Edward and Edward. The shores of the channel are immersed with lots of animals and birds. You shall view lots of hippos, crocodile, hippos, monitor lizards, elephants, antelops and array of colorful birds. Return to the lodge to for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Early Game Drive, Transfer to Bwindi National Park

After early breakfast, set out for an exciting game drive at about 7.00am. Explore the major game tracks and expect to see large herds of buffalos and Uganda kobs, lions, hyenas, waterbucks, elephants, giant forest hogs, baboons, lots of birds and an incredibly scenic landscape. Return and check out, travel via the southern Ishasha section, renowned for hosting the famous tree-climbing lions and a number of wildlife. Have lunch in Ishasha and thereafter proceed out of Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to half of the world’s rare Mountain Gorillas.

Day 8: Bwind Impenetrable National Park – Gorilla Trekking

Wake up for early breakfast and transfer to the park offices. Carry along packed lunch, drinking water, a rain Jacket and hiking shoes. After briefing by the rangers transfer to the trailhead to start the trek into the jungles to find the habituated Gorillas. After successful gorilla trekking return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Canoe Ride on Lake Bunyonyi

After your breakfast, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. The quietness, the serenity, cool atmosphere, waterfront view of the the magical lake and great sights of the terraced Kigazi highlands all around – there is no better place to chill, relax and unwind after the safaris and strenuous gorilla experience in Bwindi. Check in at your lodge, relax and have lunch. Later set out for a canoe ride around Lake Bunyonyi. Return for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Lake Bunyonyi – Nature Walk & Pigmy Community Walk

After your breakfast, set out for nature walk around the lake. Thereafter proceed for a tour of the famous Pigymy communities. Later return for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park – Game Drive, Boat Ride

After early breakfast check out and depart for Lake Mburo National Park. Lake Mburo National Park is Uganda’ smallest of the savanna parks, and second smallest of all the national park. It is blessed with diverse habitats of open savanna, lakes, swamps, forests, thickets, rocky outcrops and dry hillsides that are home to a diversity of plants and animals. It is the best park for sightings of zebras, elands, topis and impalas. Get to the park, and drive along the game tracks for great wildlife sightings. Proceed and get to your lodge for lunch. Later set out for an afternoon Boat ride on Lake Mburo. You get sight hippos, buffalos, antelops and birds such as pelicans, fish eagles, herons and the rare shoebill. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Departure

Wake up to an early morning nature walk at about 6.00am to catch the nocturnal such as the hyenas and mongoose and observe lots of wildlife at a close range. Return from the nature walk and have your breakfast. Check out and set off to Entebbe International Aiport to catch your flight back home.
