Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, our representative/guide welcomes you and transfers you to your already booked accommodation.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Rhino Tracking at Ziwa, Top of the Falls

After your early cup of tea, your driver/guide picks you up to start the drive by 7.00am. Drive on the Kampala – Gulu road and get to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. In company of an armed ranger, set out to track the magestic White Rhinos. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is a breeding ground for White Rhinos & currently hosts tens of them. It is the only place in Uganda to watch Rhinos roaming freely in their natural habitat. However thousands of Rhino once graced Uganda’s national parks but were eliminated by heavy poaching & others killed during the civil wars. The sanctuary is a project aimed at reintroducing the Rhinos back in to the Uganda wild. The sanctuary hosts of a number of other wildlife including impalas, bushbucks, leopards, crocodiles, and number of birds, which you stand chance of sighting during the trek. The tracking experience lasts about 45 minutes to 1 and 1/2 hours, depending on how fast you locate the rhinos. Check out, continue the drive and get to Masindi town for your lunch. After lunch proceed and get to Murchison Falls National Park. Drive to the top of Murchison Falls to sight these spectacular falls. The Nile forces through a cleft about 7 meters, exploding into the world’s strongest waterfall. It is quite a spectacle with great picture moments. Thereafter drive and get to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Par – Early Game drive, Launch Cruise along the Nile

Be up for an early cup of coffe and thereafter set off for the game drive as early as 6.30am for a bigger chance to catch the nocturnal such as the hyenas, mangoose, lions, grazing hippos, and the much elusive leopard. Traverse the game trails on the northern side of the Nile for great game sightings including herds of kobs, buffalos, Jackson’s Hartebeests, Oribis, waterbucks, bushbucks, elephants, giraffes, baboons, a number of savanna birds such as the Abyssinian Ground Hornbill, Spur-winged Plover, and lots more immersed in a spectacular savanna landscape. After 4 hours of a great wildlife experience return to the lodge for lunch. Later set out of the boat cruise along River Nile to the base of the Murchison Falls. River Nile attracts lots of wildlife along its banks including lots of hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, elephants, warthogs, antelops, and an array of water birds. The boat ride lasts about 3 hours, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Wake up to an early cup of coffee, check out and travel to Kibale National Park. Drive along Lake Albert to the escarpment area, with panoramic views of the western Rift Valley. Get to Hoima town for lunch and thereafter proceed, through Fort Portal and get to Kibale National Park. Check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Kibale National Park – Chimpanzee Tracking, Nature Walk

After your cup of coffee, transfer to the ranger station for briefing. Thereafter set out to track habituated Chimpanzees in Kibale National Park. Kibale National Park popular for primates, hosting the highest concentration of in Africa & Uganda’s largest number of Chimpanzees. Other primates in Kibale Forest include red Colobus, L’Hoest, grey-cheeked Mangabey, potto, red-tailed and blue monkeys, olive baboons, bush baby, and black-and-white Colobus. A number of ground animals are found in this park such as leopards, branded and marsh mongoose, swamp otter, warthogs, giant hogs, forest elephants, duikers, serval, and hippos. The park hosts an incredible diversity of birds, estimated to be more than 375 species. After a successful chimpanzee and forest experience, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxtion. Later set out for an evening nature walk in Bigodi Swampland for a chance to sight a number of monkeys, birds, butterflies, small animals, and shrubs. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Boat Ride along the Kazinga Channel

After breakfast, check out and set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most popular national park, known for big game, lots of birds and a spectacular scenery of grassy of hills, and volcanic features including lots of beautiful crater lakes. Arrive in time for lunch and thereafter set out for the boat ride along the Kazinga Channel. Kazinga Channel is a natural mass of water joining lakes Edward and George. The Channel is immersed with lots of wildlife along its banks. Hippos and Buffalos are permanent sight. Other wildlife include monitor lizards, crocodiles, elephants, antelops and an array of colorful birds. The boat last about 2 hours, get to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Early Game Drive, Transfer to Bwindi National Park

After your cup of coffee, set out for an exciting game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Explore the vast Kasenyi plains for sightings of herds of elephants, Uganda kob, buffalos, waterbucks, lios, hyenas, baboons, immersed in a beautiful landscape. Drive to the southern sector, called Ishasha for a chance to sigh the famous tree climbing lions and a number of game. After more than 4 hours of incredible game sightings, proceed out of Queen Elizabeth National Park and travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check in at your dinner and overnight. Lunch is enroute.

Day 8: Bwind Impenetrable National Park – Gorilla Trekking

Have early breakfast, grab your packed lunch and transfer to the park offices for briefing. Thereafter set out to track a habituated gorilla family in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park hosts about 400 mountain gorillas, almost half of the world population of the endangered mountain gorillas. Currently there are 12 habituated gorilla groups and 11 are available gorilla tracking. The time taken to track the gorillas is quite unpredictable and could take from a few minutes to several hours, depending on how far the gorillas would have moved. After a successful gorilla experience, return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner & overnight.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Canoe Ride on Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi which is a 2 hours drive from Bwindi. Lake Bunyontyi is the ideal place to chill out and relax after the safaris & strenuos gorilla trek. The quietness, serenity, cool atmosphere, waterfront view & and panoramic views of green Kigezi highlands is quite splendid to experience. Check in at your lodge and later have lunch. Later set out for a canoe ride on the Lake Bunyonyi. Return later for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Lake Bunyonyi – Nature Walk, Community Walk & Relaxation

After breakfast, set out for a nature walk to savor the scenery up the terraced highlands. Return for lunch and thereafter set out for a visit to the famous Pigymy communities. Later return for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park – Game Drive, Boat Ride

After early breakfast check out and depart for Lake Mburo National Park. Lake Mburo National Park is Uganda’ smallest of the savannal park, and second smallest of all the national park. It is blessed with diverse habitats of open savanna, lakes, swamps, forests, thickets, rocky outcrops and dry hillsides that are home to a diversity of plants and animals. It is the best park for sightings of zebras, elands, topis and impalas. Get to the park, and drive along the game tracks for great wildlife sightings. Proceed and get to your lodge for lunch. Later set out for an afternoon Boat ride on Lake Mburo. You get sight hippos, buffalos, antelops and birds such as pelicans, fish eagles, herons and the rare shoebill. Reurn to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Lake Mburo National Park – Morning and Night Game Drives

After an early cup of coffee set out for the morning game drive. Expect to sight a number of game and other brilliant wildlife. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later set out for a night game drive for a chance of sighting nocturnal such leopards, hyenas, mongoose and lots of other night wildlife.

Day 13: Transfer to Jinja via the Uganda Equator, Sezibwa Falls, Mabira rainforest

After breakfast, check out and drive on the Kampala – Masaka road. You shall make a brief stopover at the Uganda Equator at Kayabwe in Masaka for some picture moments. Thereafter proceed, drive through Kampala, on to the Kampala – Jinja road and get to the Spectacular Seziwa Falls. Take a nature walk and savor the spectacular view of the falls & the green vegetation. The site hosts a number of birds and surrounding forest is habitat to monkeys, squirrels, butterflies, and bushbucks. Thereafter proceed along the get to Mabira rainforest. The forest is only rainforest in Central region of Uganda, and apart from being an important watercathment area, the forest is host to a number of wildlife including monkeys, birds, butterflies, and unique. You take a nature walk in this magnificent forest for a beautiful nature experience. Thereafter proceed, and get to Jinja town. Check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight. Lunch shall be enroute.

Day 14: Source of the Nile, Departure

Wake up to an early cup of coffee, and transfer to the Source of the Nile. Savor the incredible scenery of the Nile starting its three month journey with such calm. Take a boat ride along the Nile to the actual spot marked and believed to the actual source of the mighty River Nile. After the source experience, drive to Jinja tour for a short tour of this once industrial capital of Uganda. You could purchase some sourvinirs and local crafts. Thereafter proceed out Jinja town and set off to catch your evening flight back home.
