Itinerary For The 2 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari
Day 1: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Boat Ride on Kazinga Channel
Have early breakfast and prepare for pick-up from your hotel or residence at exactly 7:00 am. Expect sighting of Zebras, impalas, and lots of Crested Cranes as you drive along Lake Mburo National Park in Kiruhura District. Get to Mbarara town for a lunch break. Thereafter proceed and get to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Northern crater Area with stunning views of grassy hills and beautiful crater lakes.
Get to Mweya and set out for the 3:00pm boat ride along the Kazinga Channel. The Kazinga Channel is a 40km natural stream of water connecting Lakes Edward & George. The channel’s banks are immersed with an incredible diversity of wildlife including hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, and thousands of colorful birds including African eagle, Pied Kingfisher, Cormorants, and lots more. The 2 hour boat ride along the channel offers the best opportunity to sight lots of animals and birds at close and safe encounter.
Return at about 5:00 pm and set out for a 1 hour tour of the Lake Katwe Tourism Centre. You get to sight thousands of flamingos at Lake Manyanyange, and have a local experience at the salt mining center and the fishing village.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive, Travel to Kampala
Be up by 6:00 am for early breakfast and set out for the early morning game by 6:30 am to catch the nocturnal and the hunters. Explore the major game trails of the vast Kasenyi plains for great sightings of big game & panoramic views of crater lakes, rolling grassy hills and the rift valley escarpment against a backdrop of the mist shrouded Rwenzori Mountains Ranges. Expect sightings of lots of elephants, buffaloes, lions, Uganda kob, waterbucks, giant forest hogs, hyenas, and baboons among others.
After more than 3 hours of a wonderful wildlife experience, check out of the park and embark on your return journey to Kampala. Lunch is en-route in Mbarara. Expect a brief stopover at the Uganda Equator for some picture moments.
